| Fred
Petty’s work background
has covered a broad spectrum
in the business of electronic
communications. After graduating
from broadcasting school, he
landed his first radio job in
Key West. After spending nearly
20 years in commercial radio,
doing everything from on-air
work to copy writing to sales,
it was in the mid-90’s
that Mr. Petty, a resident of
Ocala, Florida, went to work
for a subsidiary of CellForCash.com
Group, Incorporated, On-Hold
America. The subsidiary company
was sold by RMS to General Communications
Corporation, then two years
later, changed hands again when
it was sold to industrial music
giant Muzak. It was there that
Mr. Petty learned the inner
workings of the on-hold marketing
industry, running an independent
company office and production
studio under the auspices of
Muzak, servicing over 600 customers.
When Muzak opted to close all
their satellite offices, Mr.
Petty’s career came nearly
full circle, as he found himself
back at CellForCash, this time working
as purchasing agent and program
coordinator for the company’s
cell phone recycling programs.
